This unique deck girder bridge is a combination of old and slightly older.
The original bridge featured a five span deck girder on steel towers, supported by stone substructures. This was built in 1902.
In 1912, during an expansion the railroad added a second track. This was obtained with three deck girder spans, set onto steel bents. These rest on concrete substructures.
The bridge is rather unique because of the design and how it incorporated a second track. Because of this, the author has ranked this bridge as being moderately significant.
Despite this, the bridge is still quite tough to photograph. The photo above is looking north along the bridge.
